Forvo Pronunciation App Reviews

Shortly after I PURCHASED Forvo it stopped working! Why? Every time I click on the app it starts to open but then returns to my desktop

I used the online version with success, so I bought the app. Searching for the same word in German I had found online gave result. What is that about?

Learning Welsh would be impossible without Forvo.

Searched a word online, and got the pronunciation so I decided to get the app to hear it, but the app says "word not found" whats up with that? $2.99? Really?

Very handy mobile app - use it almost daily in the course of my work in the wine business. Well designed!

Use it quite often, has most of the romanian words I am looking for but if it doesnt I just use the site, either way Ive found it to be a useful tool in my studies.

This APP is helpful in my tutoring an ESL student.

Tried searching for words, but goes into endless search loop. Only way to exit is to delete app. Also, search for a word brings up totally unrelated word. Not worth it right now.

This is a good example of riding name recognition wave. Most people, just like me, would buy this because they have used online version. The problem is that unlike online version this one does not work. Available vocabulary is tiny. If you need German- it is simply not there. Save your $3 - this app is not an equivalent of the online version and does not work.

I worked in a high-end restaurant, and forvo was a godsend when trying to figure out pronunciations of French, Italian, Spanish, German and creole cuisine names, and dont get me started on the wine names. I love this app.

Ive been using the Forvo app for over a year, but the most recent version crashes every time I try to open it. I have to uninstall and then reinstall the app to get it to open and then it will only open one time before it begins crashing again. I have deleted it from my iPhone now. The constant crashing and unreliability of the app, with all of its instability, is cumbersome. Im on the hunt for another app like Forvo once again. Very disappointed.

Grateful I finally found help in mastering the nuances of French pronunciation. Appreciate the multiple male and female speaker choices for most words.

Ive decided to keep the app, but I was really disappoint when I first downloaded it and saw that it lacked a lot of features the website has. Will more features be added soon? Please update!!!

Disappointment! App doesnt work on iPhone well. Live and learn. The website on a laptop works better.

This app comes in handy from time to time. Never had a problem with it

It is the best way to hear native speakers pronouncing the words and phrases
